How You Can Be Involved

Join Our Film Making Club

play independence street filmThe Access Dorset Film Making Club meets in a Bournemouth every Tuesday. This informal and social gathering is for members who wish to learn more about filmmaking, including techniques, editing, using a camera, storytelling etc… We support each other and draw on the experience of Gary, our filmmaker. As well as having fun, and learning skills for their own projects our hope is that members of the club will be able to produce citizen journalism films which will be featured on our website. We also hope that the skills learnt at the club will be put to use by members if they choose to volunteer to help produce ‘Independence Street’, a big project we are planning in the near future. To find out more about our plans for independence street, please watch this short film.

If you want to get involved in the Film Making Club, please contact Gary on 01202 771336

Fit For Life

Walking FootballIn our Leisure Zone we are currently working on a project highlighting a number of health and fitness activities around Dorset. As part of the project we are making a series of short films about fitness activities, those who take part and what it does for them. You can see some of the activities we have already covered here. We are featuring sports and activities that are accessible and inclusive, with an emphasis on health & wellbeing rather than competitive sport. If you have any ideas for activities we can feature in this project then please get in touch with Gary at gary@accessdorset.org.uk.
