Don't just take our word for it!
"Access Dorset has allowed me to make good friends, and improve my skills. I love being with my friends, and I really enjoy the Art for All Wednesday group. The staff & volunteers are fantastic. It's so good at Access Dorset & there is lots to do so I would recommend this to anyone!"
“Access Dorset has had a huge positive impact on my life, the all inclusive environment has given me confidence & has enabled me to make new friends. I attend the art group & the cooking club, I interact with other service users and staff & I am learning how to communicate independently. All the group leaders are kind & patient which enables me to achieve as much as my disabilities allow. Come along & meet everyone, they are so friendly and welcoming, and accommodate all abilities. ”
“I like the staff and the range of activities at Access Dorset, and I take part in art class, gardening, the café and the build & grow groups. I have suggested a few ideas in the past for additional activities we could do, and now these are on the roster! I really enjoy seeing all my friends at Access Dorset & the staff & volunteers are always there to help. I feel a lot calmer after participating in the activities at Access Dorset. Everyone here makes everyone feel welcome so come on down!”

"Access Dorset is good & makes me feel happy. I like the routine of coming here & seeing my friends. When I first started, I was really nervous to leave my carer's side, and now I feel comfortable & safe to go and talk to my friends away from her. Access Dorset has improved my confidence a lot and I enjoy the walking group and the games we play together. I also do the mix & match on a Wednesday, and the quiz. The people that work at Access Dorset are friendly and supportive. For anyone wanting to come to Access Dorset, I would encourage them to do so as its great fun & I have such a good time here. "
"Access Dorset has allowed me to do something independently where I'm not relying on anybody else. It's an overall safe experience, and is just a jolly thing to do. I never leave feeling unhappy, and when I leave my mood is always lifted. I feel supported as its a level access to come in, and is completely accessible for myself & my wheelchair. I find the staff always smiling, and really encouraging, and they always bring out the best in me. During my time at Access Dorset, I've discovered my painting ability, and I use this to express my feelings and create beautiful art. I would recommend coming along to anyone who wanted an inclusive environment where they could feel safe & discover abilities you never knew you had. "
"Being at Access Dorset has built my confidence, improved my skills & I've met lots of nice friends. I really enjoy doing my art in art class, and building my confidence. The staff members are really helpful and there's lots of great activities at Access Dorset. I also do the Mix & Match activity, which is really fun & I enjoy it. "
Access Dorset has had a huge impact on my life. Mondays are my favorite day of the week as I just love the drama group in the morning and the art group in the afternoon. The bridge gives me a 'grown up feeling' that I don't get at my day center. It helps me become independent and I just love the feeling of being valued, listening to and one of a group. I love that my art teacher Ann, tailors the art to my 'obsessions'. My life has changed since I started at Access Dorset. I have much more independence, new friendships and much more confidence & fun!
The things I love & enjoy about Access Dorset is being able to volunteer in the café & also help at the socials sometimes. I enjoy art with Annie on a Monday afternoon & Wednesdays and cooking on a budget on Thursdays. I also love the once-a-month socials.
